The brake lights are 2-step - only 1 light per side when braking normally, 2 lights per side when braking hard.

As far as I know we already have a system like that. The extra light lights up when the ABS kicks in. Not something you can see when standing still.

Strange. A good friend who is a BMW mechanic told me we have this system. I believe you can even unlock it in the DIS/SSS. The cars always had this software feature, but it wasn't legal here. It is very possible that it is just a matter of unlocking it using the SSS.
I will check on that since we own our own DIS.

Is there anything in the article that states where or not the M5 (sedan) will be changed to a 2008MY in March in the US?
