Those exhaust pipes at the rear are really lower. It really needs to be carefull with the higher bumps on the road

That's the outside light ring reflected in the cylindrical housing of the inside light. That's why you don't see it in head-on shots.

Damn, when can I order one!?

Always loved the ability to sit on the back end of my S6 when getting ready for golf. Also had a 540 Touring at one time. Makes loading clubs so much easier too. Plus, I don't give a sh*t what anyone thinks of me in a wagon, I want one! When will they be available in the US?

Good news for tuners: the exhaust is identical to the Sedan.

50/50 ratio on the M5 Sedan / Touring production as of now. M5 and M6 is runnign full proction volume. 20 000 cars produced as of now with 14 000 being BMW M5

New Options for 2008 M5 US Model

The m5 facelift will start production in 03/07 While most of the changes are interior refinements, there are also some new exterior colors as well as new options. The Base MSRP for the 08 m5 is $82,900.
  • Soft Close automatic doors. $600
  • HD Radio with multicasting. $700
  • Heated Steering Wheel $200 (05/07 production)
  • iPod/USB Adapter $400

Interior
The interior of the M5 has been revamped with more premium design. The vehicles have new door trim with larger more refined door pockets. Wood trim is placed along the top of the doors. The new front passenger door handle is wrapped in leather and the location of the door handles have been moved. The window buttons are made of a softer material and moved to the armrest, and pearl gloss chrome inserts are now on the radio and temperature controls. The iDrive system now has 6 programmable memory buttons.

Exterior
  • New optical lenses for the headlights
  • Lower air dam/intake now turns upward toward the wheels
  • Lower rear lights have red lines in the optical lenses while the top rear lights have a white design with less reflectors.

Exterior Colors
  • Space Grey Metallic replaces Silver Gray Metallic
  • Monaco Blue Metallic is now Available.

I can't imagine that they would automatically put wood door trim on the modern/sport interior combination. That would really muck in up.

Do you know anything about the six iDrive memory settings? Are they just for seats and similar settings, or can they apply to drive settings ala M-Drive?
