Does anybody NOT have whining noise from Dinan 3.91?[Updated with reply from Steve D]

Just curious as I just ordered my second one for this issue. They (Dinan) assured me that the issue has been resolved but since there have been obviously a lot of threads regarding this problem I am curious to see if anybody here has a "whine free" diff?

BTW, today was my first day of driving after the break-in period and all I can say is WOW! From a roll (5-10mph) when I stomp on it, the tires will break loose and have a good amount of wheel spin. I could not do this with the stock set up so there is an obvious difference in low-end torque.

Really? Mine is stock and is pretty easy to break loose from a slow roll. Spinning the wheels is easy to do out of 1st, but what I hope you guys are getting out of the diff is more 'pull' in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears where the car seem so be lacking at times.

With the stock diff I could get a little chirp when I punched it from a role. With the 3.91, I am getting crazy wheel spin. I also did notice more "pull" in 1st 2nd and 3rd. BTW, if you thought your rpm's climb quick now, wait until you drive a beast with the 3.91

it pulls a lot harder with the 3.91. its a lot more fun to drive.

i do get a very slight whine, but to me its no big deal,if the radio is on the slightest bit i don't even hear it.i spoke with the dealer and he said just to wait till dinan fixes the problem then we'll fix it.

Bonehead I'm meeting up with board member Avry tomorrow and i will take pics side by side. He has an alpine white also on stock rims with stock suspension i believe. That will be a good comparo between the differences with stock suspension and dinan stage 2.

Impressions: Differential makes a big difference in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The car pulls so much better and alot harder. Is it worth the investment......YES SIR!!
