The Z06 is THAT much faster. Live with it.

Two different cars, for two different purposes. Who cares. The Z06 is the best at what it is meant to do, just like the M5 is the best for what it is supposed to do.

I don't think anything was wrong with the M5. You could clearly hear the M5 gun it. You could clearly see the z06 start directly in its powerband. It didn't murder it, although it pulls hard.

Watch closely, the m5 drops behind the z06 after the Z pulls past it.. probably traffic. It's deceptive at first because you think the m5 is buslengths behind in a second or two, but it's not.

Entirely different scenario...starting at a different speed and in the wrong gear, as you acknowledged.

No one is saying that the z06 is not a lot faster.

In the end, its just too hard to see how far back the M5 is, and what the traffic conditions were, to make any judgement.

Gustav's video, however, is clear and unmistakable. The corvette is a lot faster, but wont shoot off into the distance like a rocket when racing a tuned M5. As great as it is, lets resist making the z06 into the starship enterprise.

Agreed 100%. A Kelleners BMW M6 will hunt it down this spring

Yes, the ZO6 is stupid fast and yes it will beat an M5. I just raced my buddies Z06, it is not stock, headers and exhaust, he has had it on the dyno and it produces 575hp!
Yes I lost, yes he was pulling away, but from the video I saw there was something going on with the E60, especially since it has a couple of mods on it. The Z06 pulled a little too fast.

It would have been nice to see it from the E60 view knowing the Vette would be ahead.
