Differences between standard and pro hifi system?

Hi i have searched the forum but didnt find a solid answer:

how can i tell i have the professional Hifi System in my M5 and not the standard audio system?

from what i have seen so far, on other standard 5-series and my M5 there is no difference in the rear speakers for example !?

thanks

with professional do you talk "pro logic 7" or whatever its called?
If thats so, then you can fiddle around in idrive and find settings for this somewhere....entertainment maybe?

Doesn't the pro-logic have an additional speaker in the front dash under the rear-view mirror, above the i-drive screen, in a similar place to the HUD unit but in the middle of the car (best way i could think to describe it)? Oh and a sub under each front sear but you wouldn't be able to see that.

I have the equaliser in the iDrive but can't see anything physical in the car that would lead me to believe it has Logic 7. In the E46 M3 with Harmon Kardon there was a sub-woofer under the rear parcel shelf that gave extra bass oompf. Is there something physically similar on the pro logic 7 or is it just some speakers under the seats?

I thought they all have Logic 7, no sound options.

Think that depends on the market, in the UK the logic7 is an option and sounds great.... well worth the extra cost if it is an option.

The subwoofers are located under the front seats. In the E39 they were under the parcel shelf and this ate up too much storage space in the boot (trunk).

Use the i-Drive menu and see if you can get Logic-7 to come up in the entertainment settings menu.
