Where's the oval M mirror?

For any of you that have owned M cars in the past.. you know what I'm talking about.

I really loved the oval mirrors...
I wonder why they did away with it. It was such a signature M characteristic.

Anyone know of a company doing this in the aftermarket??

Good question!!! When I drive behind M3's on the highway and see the ovals thru their rear window, I think we got jipped.

Perhaps we can get a recall so that the correct mirror can be installed.

Thankfully, my wife's Mini Cooper S has an oval mirror, so I'm not missing out completely.

I agree though, that it is sad the trademark oval mirror is not in the M5.

I thought it was because of the Homelink buttons that the mirrors were not oval.
