Best place to get OEM 19" rims

I am considering getting another set of OEM rims for winter, as others here have done. What is the best place to place to get them? Just the dealer or can you do better with a 3rd party? There are replicas available on ebay I guess but not sure of quality..

try this place: http://bmwwheels.com/bmwwheels.asp

they have great prices and no tax! i got my winter set from them (M184s)

just keep in mind that you should get 4 fronts as the staggered setups are not good for snow tires

eBay or look for boardmembers here selling their stock wheels. You would even put a wanted ad on the For Sale forum. You probably won't be able to get two pairs of fronts since I doubt anyone wants to be stuck with just a pair of rears, but my understanding is the 255 will stretch onto the rear wheel just fine too.

Right. So I guess if I can get a set of staggered for less than the price of 4 new fronts that would be the way to go.. tks

Go for the staggered... Im not sure that a front wheel will look good at the back.

255 does not streach that much. If you want I can take pictures, or you can click on the link and look at my Touring with the 255's all round in a test run.

That wagon looks off the hook. Beautiful. I will be taking my car in the snow (it will be my only car), so I need to sacrifice a bit to get reasonable winter performance - hence the 255s all around. I should really be getting 18"s I guess, but I hate the idea of having 18's on this car for 5 months.

I know some guys are getting staggered even for the snow...

But for now (just checked tire rack), it seems availablity for the wider 285 rears are not in stock or unavailable (depending on brand). Hence the reason most are going with 255 all around.
