No letter here yet for my November 05 build. I wonder if I won't be getting one since my sensor (not the full kit) was replaced a couple months ago?

Taking the Beast in on Wednesday. Requested the software upgrade as well. Got the letter when most of you got it. Mine is an October 2005 build, if I recall (no pun intended!). Have clocked about 7,600 miles.

Got the service done. Don't have the paperwork yet. They did update the software but not to the latest version with the new Vehicle Settings screen!

Oh yeah, my car still keeps forgetting the audio source when I switch it off every so often. I am listening to the Sat Radio, when I come back it is back to FM!!! Very annoying now.

And yes, I, too, would like to get to the bottom of the SMG issue. It's getting very annoying to have to worry about whether or not my car will leave me stranded somewhere especially considering my wife is due any time now!!!!!

You should take it back and have them update the software to the current version - this should fix the radio problem.

Got my recall letter last week but I thought I should ignor it until I get a warning. Well I got 'em all (except for the red cog) this morning at 10:00. At the time I was having my K40 Caliber looked at (having problem with it) and the installer thought he broke my car!! He was really stressin' out. He's almost cryin' "I'm sorry man, I don't know what I did? All I did was turned it on and and all these errors messages are comin' up and I didn't do anythng out of the ordinary and......" I told him to calm down. It's probably the SAS sensor. "The what?"
I thought the timliness of the failure was pretty funny. Anyways, got the car in to BMW and it's all replaced and workin' fine.
What would I do without this board!

Should have played with him a bit. "You did WHAT??? You broke my $100K car??? I demand to talk to your manager. Better yet, give me my money back for the install and hardware!"
