Video: BMW M6 2006 vs Chevrolet Corvette Z06 2006 at airfield

Full "m5board.com Event at Koenigsegg" report here (25+ movies). Factory visit report here, Geneva 2004 CCR premiere here, Geneva 2005 CCX premiere here.

From 50 km/h rolling start to 250 km/h. Both cars start on 2nd gear (not the best gear). Both completely standard. 2 persons in the M6 and one in the Corvette. The Z06 isa very ast car and I think it stacked up well. The Z06 wil lalso meet the tuned Kelleners BMW M5 in a video

Both are 100% stock and as you can see no slipstreaming. Filmed from the back seat of the BMW M6.

Such a shame (and shocking) that American engineering could whip the 6'er so badly.

Why? I look at it the opposite way..we should be thankful that we have competition like this, it just means a better driving experience for us in the end

Who cares if its "american engineering", its a damn good car

The M6 was beaten hands down...although I did not expect it to beat the Z06 in any way, shape or form. That Corvette is very fast indeed, look at this race between a stock C6 Z06 vs. Ford GT...It illustates to us that the M6 is still a rapid car and IMHO, it will beat the new 997 Turbo from a rolling start.

I beg your pardon, the Z06 in the video with the Ford GT is not stock but without mods, it would pull just as hard as the GT.
