What is the most you have spent on Fuel in a month?

Looking back through some of my receipts...

Last month I needed to fill up every 4-5 days or so, and I'm only getting around 100miles to the tank (dash shows me around 7.2mpg). A lot of city driving - and London is just getting worse and worse Train is looking pretty good!!!!!!!!!! (I know that's what Ken wants - the Mayor, and he's making me feel very guilty!).

I spent just over an astounding! £300 (approx. USD $550 Rate: GBP/USD around 1.88 atm) for not a lot of miles.

It IS an expensive car to run - we are seriously considering getting a hybrid car, or small diesel car.

Be interested to know what you guys/girls spend a month. I think I'm NUTS!!!

It'd be better to ask for volume of gas instead of cost, because the cost is very different from country to country....

I knew the consumption would be ghastly but you don't buy an M5 for fuel economy. I thought about going the sensible route (530d/535d) but heck if you can afford it you might as well enjoy yourself.

I do around 400 miles a week and it's mostly city driving which means around £150-£200 a week in fuel.

Good thing is it's all Shell V-Power which means lots of BA Miles

Fuel Usage

I'm sure I've spent US$500 in a month, again for not a lot of miles. I also really feel that the exceptionally poor range of the car significantly detracts from my enjoyment of it. It's mostly the necessity of being at the filling station every other day that is upsetting more than just the expense. Truly, 10 cylinders plus the requirement for higher rpm all the time to make that 500 hp, not to mention the Lilliputian gas tank capacity, isn't the ideal package for an every day driver.

i have about an hour commute each way from home to work and then if you add in some extra curricular driving at nite then i average about $1160.00 p/mo (holy crap) never really calculated .

i fill up the beast like 3 times p/week @ $50.00
i fill up the x5 like 2 times p/week @ $70.00

its my own fault i did a cold air intake and all the dinan software and then removed the resonators from the x5 4.6 so i only get 10-12 mpg but its damn fun to drive !!

70 mile commute. refuel daily if not every other day and a half @ $40-45. 22*40=880+4 tanks for the weekends, roughly 1100-1200 a month.

Just back from ED of our M5 and with the 3100 miles in TWO weeks we did, we probably spent about $1600 USD. This is from the computer showing ~15mpg, so this is all estimate. I'll have to go look at the bills once the month is closed out.

It would have to be when i ran the car at The Nurburgring. You can all do the maths. It cost me 80ish Euros per tank of fuel (98RON) & i was managing 4 laps of the track per full tank & i completed 26laps during my 3 days their. Also add in 1 full tank in the UK from my home to the ferry terminal £60, another full tank from the Dutch ferry terminal to Nurburgring & probably used a tank on top of this just pootling around the local area & shooting to the BMW for another litre of oil. Then the same fuel for the trip back.

Lets work it out then 9.5 X 80 Euros plus 2 X £60. I guess that's about £663 in 6 days or $1226 in 6 days.

Holy **** balls i'd never worked that out before. I'm doing 2 full track days at Spa & 2 more days at Nurburgring in October so i'd better get saving some money. This assumes my car's all well by then.
