I think they charge half of the price just for the name!

Ah, very nice, getting from directly from Dymag, or through Rennworx?

I'd love to get a set of these, but I think $2300+ per wheel may be a little rich for my blood.

Dymag is build us a set of carbon wheels for our race car below (car will probably be at SEMA). But I will be working with Bill @ Rennworx for everything else. Certainly the value of these wheels for a race car are apparent. For a street car, they are $$ but if you can appreciate the value and effect of STRONG and VERY LIGHT on unsprung weight...especially on a heavy car, it's worth every penny!

Ah great, will have to be sure to stop by your booth. I'm probably going to be spending most of my time at SEMA trying to convince the Caparo guys to import the T-1 as a rolling chassis, so they're usable on the street.

One guy with a Noble is getting his soon from Dymag (he's in the UK). I can't wait to see how that wheel works out. Costly, but you have to pay to play.

I honestly thought they'd be lighter, since AutoVelocity Inc originally claimed they'd be 8 lbs. Now Dymag/Rennworx is claiming:

18 x 8.5 = 13.5 lbs
18 x 10 = 15.7 lbs
18 x 10.5 = 15.9 lbs
19 x 9.5 = 16.7 lbs
20 x 12.5 = 19 lbs

That's impressive, but not crazy. For instance, the Volk TE37Mag is 12.9 lbs in 18 x 8.5.

Nice! That's definitely good use of your time.

Well couple things. Carbon is definitely stronger and more resilient than alum or mag. Also, from my understanding, the Dymag mag centers are NOT currently forged yet. They are supposed to be forged soon which should shave a bit more off. Plus, let's not forget the most important reason...the COOOOL factor
