All the info you can handle is available by using the search function. And, you can read your manual for directions on how to activate it.

dsc off -> s6 mode -> hold your central stickshift forward + press gas pedal -> it will rev to 1600 rpms -> make sure your wheels are forward lol release the stickshift and there you go.

Search for "US launch control" or "crippled launch control"

In summary there is no mention in the manuals of launch control on the US-spec M5 because there no real launch control function on the US-spec M5.

Whereas the atmosphere on this messageboard is friendly and helpful there is no need to profile yourself as a damsel in distress. Be a man and use the search option!

Well, clearly this depends on where you're coming from. I mean I would love to experience the non-US LC (and do hope that one day when I am back to London, someone would be kind and generous enough with me), but at the same time, I don't mind the ability to do 'unlimited' launches because it isn't very harsh on the drive line. And it is still pretty exciting, giving you less than 5 seconds to 60 mph. YMMV.
