South Louisiana here

Will need much more info, particularly a long lead time. I'm semi-retired and could show him around as well as any other old old man, just dunno if that's what he wants.

Gustav might like a tour of the hurricane devastated areas of LA and MS.

The nightlife and restaurants in N.O. are now starting to get interesting, and I should be able to provide a few nights in a N.O. hotel as well as a few in my home.

I'd also be available for a tour of casinos.

Thanks psybj. Yes a tour of N.O. would be great. That's what I had in mind but don't convert your home into a hotel just yet!! Gustav will only be there for a 24 hour quickie! Everybody, please keep in mind that each host will have Gustav for only about 1 day before he is passed off to the next host and the time spent has to include the time to travel to the next destination. So what that means is that there will not be time for ball games, golf etc. What will typically happen is that Gustav will arrive at a destination usually between 6 and 9 PM. So a dinner or dinner party get together would be a possibility, then a few hours sleep (how much do you need each night Gustav?), a morning breakfast or brunch get together, some locations might include some track time??, but ultimately a local road ralley that would generally head toward the next destination (rondevous). That's typically what will happen. Of course there will be some deviations. As we get closer to next July, I'm sure that each host will be posting their itinerary so as to invite and include as many of us board members that would like to meet Gustav.

Give me a few days more and I'll post an update on what's happening and where we still need some help. I still haven't contacted everybody that has already volunteered (especially on the western US.) Later dudes!

We've got several people just on the board that I'm sure would give Gustav a great tour here in Vegas... LVegasKiwi, SnakeOiler, Mr. & MrsBowen and myself just to name a few right off the top of my head. Just awaiting the word.

I plan on taking Gustav up to Monterey for Italian Concorso day, Laguna Seca vintage races and Pebble Beach concourse. Does anyone have somewhere to stay? I will try to sign up for the BMW corral at the concorso. Does anyone know if the BMW Golden Gate Chapter is having something on Sat. at Laguna Seca?
Happy New Years Everyone
