How do you like your G -tech? Do you have the SS or RR? Did you hard wire it?

What was the temperature that night? I imagine the humidity was high due to the rain.

How fast is this track? For example, what are typical "good" runs for stock E55s there?

Do you think that your last launch was near optimal, i.e., initial full throttle with some let-up for traction control? The C&D technique appeared to be a bit different - 80% at launch and then application of full throttle. How much do you think hitting the rev limiter (2-3) hurt your ET and speed?

Mike, have you tried using D5 sport with your G-Tech? I'm thinking that it's possible that getting a precise time of shift might be more important than speed of shift and that its hard not to be off by a few hundred RPM when shifting manually, especially on the 1-2 shift where revs climb so fast.

Temperature: 79 degrees
Humidity: not sure on the % but it was high due to the rain

I did ask some of the local guys there how the track behaved (fast or slow) and they all pretty much said the same thing - middle of the road

My launch felt pretty good (did not bog down much) but I did have some wheel spin (too much) @ aroung 7000 rpms. For the strip I think my method is better than C&D's, for the road I would use C&D's approach - just because it is stickier at the track and it is easier to control the wheel spin when you drop the clutch at 4000rpms (which is essentially what I am doing). I honestly believe that if I had a few more cracks at it I could have gotten my 60' times in the high 1.8's.

Regarding the rev limiter: not sure how much it hurt my times but when I hit it I did feel a slight let down.

Well done 6speed!

Next time do your drill without the child seats though! I bet you'll post a lower 1/4mile figure

Any worth mentioning time from other stock cars? (C6 etc?)

How much fuel did you run with? You may find that running with too little fuel (and too little weight over the rear tires) allows for too much wheel spin at the start and in first gear. I always try to run with a 1/4 tank.

A most excellent showing. I imagine that you had a lot of adrenaline flowing. Your helmet is *almost* as mean looking as your car.

Good point but I had close to a 1/2 tank so that should be ok
