It will also depreciate like a rock if the previous S6 was anything to go by.
However if the new RS6 rumours are true then that for sure will give the M5 a major run for it's money. Expected to have 550BHP stock, Quattro (of course) & being possibly bi-turbo then getting it up over 600BHP will only cost a few £££'s

I had heard from a huge AUDI fan and an Audi tuner that the new RS6 would be a twin turbo. The S6 and the S8 are not that special... if you are buying an Audi.. you better make it an "R".
I have no doubt that the S6 is a very comfortable and, by most measures, very fast car that is especially well suited for fast highway driving. However, as others have mentioned, the marketing is mystefying. Audi has segmented its already fairly small market share into too many parts. There is the 3.0 A6, the 4.2 A6, now the S6 and then the upcoming RS6. I suspect that anyone who shells out the money for the S6 wants the highest-performing A6 available. It remains to be seen what the price disparity between the S6 and the RS6 will be, but it is hard for me to imagine that very many will pay the premium for the S6 over the 4.2 A6 but be unwilling to pay the additional premium to get the RS6.

Why bother making this car - it does not come close to an M5 and barely beats a 550. It is not going to sell well...
I believe this is a very important question, because I do not understand why Audi is having two versions S & RS.... BMW & Mercedes they develop normal series and for enthuast they offer M & AMG.... but Audi has different philosify....in Saudi, you find more Bently GTs than an S6 or RS6!!!
