BEAST IS NOW UNLEASHED! - 3100 mile marker reached!

NOT ONE PROBLEM. NADA. ZIP. ZERO. NOT ONE ISSUE. (KNOCKING VERY HARD ON WOOD).

The car has been solid - and a lot of fun.

So, the break-in reminder sticker comes off the inside of the windshield today to be stored/kept.

I look forward to finding some tracks where I can really get it opened up and really take it to the limit.

One thing I might need is a 1.3g cup holder...seriously, part of the reason I don't drive it like a madman on the streets is that I always have things in the car and from my racing experience, if something comes loose at high speed/performance driving - they become projectiles...

Just a post to let you know - I had a mid-December 2005 build and I have not had 1 issue.

I am very happy that I moved up from the e39 M5 - which I still love - but the e60 M5 is in a class by itself.

Be careful out there!

Thanks for taking some of the worries off, of those whose cars are yet to be delivered.

No worries here either. I'm almost to the eagerly anticipated 3100 mark as well without a single issue.

This car ROCKS!

Awesome! I think we need more of these posts to remind everyone that we have (or will soon have in my case) a phenomenal automobile!

Unless you will be driving 137mph+ for extended periods, the M5 is fully run-in at 1200 miles per the little window sticker...

SCORPIO,

Don't know if you're married or happy, but...

You'll be glad that you saved the break-in reminder -- you can tape it to your first (or your next) wife!

That's the funniest thing I've ever heard… I’m planning to be engaged soon, but not before my new M5 shows up. I’m just hoping I don’t have to tape the break-in reminder on myself. Wish me luck!

I should've italicized the "or" in "married or happy", since in this context the terms are mutually exclusive!

Juice, good luck with your marriage, and perhaps the question is not so much "if" or "to whom" you'll be taping that sticker, but "where" you'll be taping it! LOL.
