Opinions on Full Leather?

OK, so I got my allocation and am finalizing my order this weekend, and I am still not sure about one thing: 'Extended' or 'Full' Leather.

As some others have mentioned, I love the look of the 'Extended'. It gives more of a "two-tone" look to the doors, and the console between the seats, I dig it.

My concern: I have seen the full leather only with cars that had black or silverstone leather. It looked pretty sweet. But I am getting Sepang interior, and my dealer says that the Alcantara headliner and a lot of the extras that come with the 'Full' leather are black (i.e. it is not a match to your interior color, everyone gets black). I am SURE I would not like that if my headliner was not Sepang-ish. I know it would drive me nuts. So my question is, has anyone seen the full leather on any other interior besides black or silverstone, and are there any pics of it?

I always have read that it looks classy, and that is great, but I would forego that if it would make the interior look odd (to me). Opinions?

I have it with portand brown and love it. I get lots of comments on the alcantha headliner. Plus all of my seatback is portland brown (not brown and black).

On the BMWUSA build your own site you can toggle full sepang on and off to see the difference.

I've got a pic posted under a Valentine install thread but I don't think it shows both the headliner and the portland at the same time. I'll see if I can't take a pic tomorrow. What angle do you want?

Thanks Mike! It would be great if I could get an angle that shows the seats, doors, and headliner all in one shot, perhaps from the driver's side footwell area? I would really appreciate it!

I know what you mean about the BMW site. It's great. I've toggled full, on and off so much that it froze a computer at my client site! Still undecided!

Drew-

I have Full Leather Sepang. These are the only two interior shots I have at the moment and I posted them on this thread:

It's here!! - My initial impressions and Pictures (long post)

Let me know what else you want to see and I'll snap you some more.

I will say that I also like contrast in my interiors and honestly, I couldn't be happier. The full leather is VERY NICE and adds a level of luxury to the car you won't get with extended. The alcantara headliner is awesome - everyone that has gotten into the car has commented on it.

I'm not a fan of totally black interiors, makes the car feel smaller IMO. Believe me, there is plenty of "sepang" in the full leather interior with provides lots of contrast and doesn't feel closed in at all.

Drew,
IMHO- do the full leather. It adds a level of luxury you will want.

When I was in Germany, BMW M was kind enough to let me test drive an M5 and M6 and the M5 had a beautiful caramel interior with a caramel colored alcantara head liner and also on the HPS airbag covers on the pillars of the windshield. This looked VERY SHARP. But as I drove the car I see why they use black. My eyes were more drawn to the lighter color and it became a little annoying. I test drove a F430 Spider last Fall that had a full tan interior- beautiful to look at. But I see why they use black on the dash as the tan reflected more glare onto the windshield.

If you are leasing then this should not affect the lease price too much and if you are buying then I think this will affect your resale ability because I think most people who will buy this car from you will want to see it- as with the HUD. JMHO.

Parker,
Heres my best shot currently:

let me know if you want more/ others. I will try to take them for you.

That looks great. But, I would still like to see a Silverstone one with Indianapolis red interior AND the Olive Ash wood interior ...instead of the aluminum...anyone out there with that combo?
