Aftermarket Exhausts - has anyone Dyno'd the cars before and after?

A lot of aftermarket companies make power gain claims for their exhaust for the M5 and the only way to validate these claims is to dyno run the M5 before and after install (to compare the increase (or worse decrease in power)).

Has anyone with an aftermarket exhaust actually done this process to see what the actual BHP improvement is over the stock exhaust?

I'd love to hear - and even better see the comparative dyno sheets - from people who have achieved a 'proven' gain from an aftermarket exhaust as it is the one performance mod I'd like to undertake...

...things are just a little too quiet

Not one single person has put their M5 on a dyno to see if the claims the aftermarket tuner was making in terms of the exhaust bhp-gain were 'real'?

or nobody has had the time to answer that

I guess many feel the noise it makes is more important..

My Heinman Exhust is due to be installed next week. Will dyno before and after and post report.

remember to drive around for a while before the "after" dyno so the computer can adjust.

Formerly 2006 M5 Black/Black/Aluminum

Currently 2007 M6 White/Black/Carbon Fiber

Now there's a man who's interested in proving he's getting value for money!

Would be very interested in finding out the results of this!

So many tuners quote pie-in-the-sky bhp gains from exhausts and while I'd love to improve the sound a bhp gain would be more interesting!

I have seen #2 M5's that have dynoed with aftermarket exhaust and so far no gains, most guys just like the fact that the exhaust sounds better....Jay.S

No dyno numbers, but at a gathering of M5 in various states of tune at the local drag strip last year, my bone stock car was the fastest, at 13.1 at 108 mph. Cars with gears, headers, exhaust were all slower.
