I just got off the phone with DMS Automotive (www.dmsautomotive.com
) and have arranged with them to send their Senior Engineer to Las Vegas this weekend (Feb 18, 2006 to Feb 19, 2006) specifically to tune five E60 M5 2006 cars.
DMS will fully delimit our cars (206+ mph), and raise the torque settings (remap the torque limit control for 3rd to 7th gear to allow more power to the box.) DMS leaves 1st and 2nd untouched to avoid shredding the diff. and the rest of the transmission. (DMS tells me that their own car was independently dyno'd at 546 bhp. I'm going to try and arrange a dyno this weekend for each car after the tuning ... that will cost a little extra, if you want it!)
DMS will remove the LC limiter, if requested, but they highly advise against it.
DMS tells me that their tuning DOES NOT VOID
the BMWNA Warranty. They have Full BMW Cambus Diagnostic Creditation in the U.K which means they are licensed to service BMW's. DMS is a ten year old company that specializes in tuning high-end autos (i.e. BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Ferrari, Bently, etc.)
The cost is USD2,800 (USD2,500 if we get all five cars to tune) PLUS the share of a hotel room for 3 nights. 25% is due by Feb 14, 2006 and the balance on the day of tuning. Payment is by way of credit card, and paid directly to DMS.
If you're interested, you can call me at 702-238-5630 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
. Don't delay ... I have already filled two spots, without sending this email out!
*** If you know of anyone you owns a Porsche, they will tune that also, and if time permits!
