Why would the larger lip make the wheel lighter? And would it effect how strong the wheel is; would it be more likely to bend if it hit a large pot hole?

All things being equal, lighter is better in my book.

On the other hand, I have a feeling on the rear the 3" lip would provide even more bling to the wheel without any downside - i mean - it is a 20" rim so 3" lip would not loose proportion. Let's just vote ya or nay and majority will rule. Either way the wheel will be spectacular. If you do not vote then I will vote for you by proxy ( he he )
Not familiar with the car's braking abilities.. in so much that I am an M3 guy.

But I would suggest keeping the wheels big brake kit friendly and not extending the lips beyond the point where folks can add brakes to the car later if they want!

Lighter with marginal effect to strength. Construction wise, the techniques employed during forging result in what are arguably the strongest wheels that can be made and offered in quantity.

The wheel can be made lighter because the pad (mounting surface/platform) can be made shorter using less material.

The car brakes very well as is, but I would agree with chuck that if the wider lip would prevent us from using a BBK down the line, I would stay with the smaller lip. 2.5" is plety bling already. And if its stronger too... all the better.

Thanks again,
Francesco

Gustav.. as of this AM there are 4 commited participants. This out of about 10 people who expressed genuine desire to proceed.

Not to ignore your request, but I feel people's privacy should be honored and it would be best if the induviduals who participate speak up for themselves if they so desire. I hope I am not off base with this.

Now as Shep mentions above.. We are under the gun with the Yen to finalize everything and start production asap.

Since the project is offered at and actually below wholesale prices... if we miss the favorable Yen exchange rate then it effects everyone. For that reason.. we need everyone that expressed a dersire to participate to get back to me asap with the contact info requested. That way the group does not have to wait further for their wheels and everyone will enjoy the current exchange rate. Once I recieve the info.. I am sending back order forms and contact info on how to place your order.

Mine is Silverstone. I considered Anthracite, but decided on A1Silver, which I think is more versatile.

Chuck / Shep... quick question.

I was flipping thought the Champion Motorsports website. Can you guys tell me, or best guess, what is the finish they are using on their wheels. And which one of our options is closest to that that. Thanks.
