Really? I was under the impression from Chuck that I signed up for a second group buy and the ETA was around April. If it's ok with you I would like to start a new thread just to get a head count.

Yes!! Get another run going so we at have at least a fighting chance of getting some caps by the time the spring rolls around.

That is what we have done in the past. We basically cater to the community as it is impossible for us to devote all of our time to the effort. Ordinarily, the community puts together a group, come to us for pricing and logistics. Otherwise, the effort that it takes us to roll this out and try and communicate on an ongoing basis, well, suffice it to say it would raise the costs significantly to make it near worth while. I much rather see you guys get these wheels at the price points we have established - makes it a real homerun for you and easy on us.

Since we are a board sponsor, it should be perfectly fine with the admin for you to gather a group. Our minimum orders that the forge will accept is 40 wheels which means we need to get near 20 sets. Once we get to say, 15, we will authorize the order. If you guys are serious I can check on prices. This changes frequently so I need to verify frequently.

I have been in contact with Chuck previously on this matter. At the time I lost contact with Chuck I was discussing the opportunity to get a set with satin black centers. I am subscribed to this thread and look forward to enlisting enough participates to justify another production run. It would be great to see this go forward.

As a suggestion, is it feasible to include some 10" wide rear wheels in the run? A 10" rear provides an expanded range of tire choices if you don't want to go as big as a 305 rear.

the front wheel is 9"

the rear wheel is 10.5"

We can get the wheels in app. 90 days from when we place the order to our warehouse/champion

you can verify the weights with others

keep in mind, with stock rubber, the wheel will also fit an M6 - may help you fill in the numbers needed?

Great info, thanks!

To everyone with the wheels: Did anybody weigh these? I'm getting a conflicting weight of 21.5lb vs 22.5lb.

285 wide rear tire is stock. Would you want to go less than the stock width? The 285 width fits just fine on the 10.5" rear wheels, and in some cases is the spec'ed rim size that the manufacturers use for that tire (others use 10"). I think most of the buyers are running 285/30/r20 on the rear, which keeps you with approximately the stock rolling diameter and everything. Just a few of us are running 305/25/r20 on the rear because we wanted more rubber. It may not actually be the best choice either, but I'm enjoying mine.

No I wouldn't go less than stock 285 width nor would I recommend it. In my experience the narrowest tire I would install on a 10.5" rim is a 295 (my 993TT). I think that is a perfect match. I think you stretch the side wall too much with a 285 on a 10.5" rim. I know it can be done and some manufacturers spec it but I wouldn't do it if I could avoid it. Can some one post a picture of a 285 mounted on the 20" RAC monolite? I have seen Bonehead's pictures of his 305s mounted and they look fantastic.

Unfortunately I have yet to find a tire in a 295 size that has a diameter w/in 0.3" of the E60 M5 stock diameter. I definitely prefer the bigger rubber and will most likely go to the 275 front & 305 rear as you have been using. I ran the same combination on my C5 Z06 but the rims were 9.5" front and 11" rear.
