I was thinking the same...c'mon guys...are we all in?? It's gotta be worth a few hundies to get these babies three weeks quicker!!! Chuck/Shep, do we have this option?? How many others would be in, if the costs were something like $300-$400 per set?

Well it is generally on the expensive side... I think it was almost $300 additional per set last time we had sets air freighted. It could be more now with the way fuel costs are rising.

The thing is, we are sitting nice right now as some of our lotus wheels are completing a few weeks ahead of the M5 and M3 RG41s. The lotus wheels combined with the RG41s will fill a cargo container so everything will ship immediatly.

If we start picking out orders to have them air shipped then that means the rest of the shipment might be delayed while we wait for additional wheels to fill a complete cargo container. If this is the case, then we can not make the rest of the group wait and we will all have to recieve them at the same time.

As we get a little closer to May 10th.. I will know if we can afford to pick any sets off for air frieght. So if you are interested, please send me a note specifying your interest and we'll see if arrangments can be made.

Unfortunatly I do not think it will be that simple. As mentioned in my last post.. the M5 wheels are shipping with M3 and other wheels. The M3 folks are waiting right along with you and I highly doubt that all of them will be willing to pay the added freight costs.

As mentioned.. we might be able to pull a few sets of for air frieght. No guarantees, but I will check into the option.

Thanks for the update Chuck,

Assuming a cost of $300-400 I would be down with air freighting the wheels, but I understand it may not be an option due to the other constraints. No problem either way.

Do you happen to have any pictures of the finished product yet?

I think they are making 19's for the M3 - must have been referring to those??

Yes you are correct.. the 19" wheels are for the M3. I inaccuratly mentioned reusing the stock M5 tires as I forgot the M5 delivers with 19s.

I'm in for air freight, also. Pix would really help us pass the time. Any more tire discussion as it's orderin' time. I can't find the 305's at Tire Rack. Any other thoughts?
