I would have thought you have received all the information from Chuck. I wanted to order today, the yen was good, but I could not as not enough people have followed through with their deposits.

chuck can be reached at chuck@racmonolites.com

we have set everything up through champion motorsports ( we pay them to do this for us so everyone can use credit cars).

Thanks

I emailed him earlier this afternoon but haven't heard back.

I'm on the fence

I am listening to the top engineer at champion motorsports. his feeling continues to be that because the rim is large (20") and the car is so muscular, that it would be more appropriate to go with a 1 1/2" lip up front and a 3" lip in the rear. It allows for the stagger to be nicely exagerated front to rear. We usually go 1" fornt and 21/2" rear but. BUT, that is for M3 and small coupe'. I am starting to be swayed toward his thinking unless we get a huge dissenting opinion we may go with 3" rear and 1.5" front.

9x20 et 3
10.5x20 et 22

This allows you to easily run stock rubber or to plus size comfortably up to 275 fronts and 305 rears ( which will be a glorious set up on this car) You also have the benefit of increased track up front by almost 3/4" with the rear matching to within 1/8" or slightly less. This will provide much better grip and you will absolutly feel it on the street or on the track.

You will notice that our offsets ( which are almost finalized but not quite) are more aggresive up front than the competition. We suspect that the others in this market have tried to accomodate the M6 and maybe the 550i with their wheel sizing - that happens commonly. This wheel will be specific for the M5.

I will keep you updated; please do not sweat colors right now but please get chuck/champion deposits so we can order

Thanks

Ralph

Not sure if you want my opinion or not since I haven't commited to buy, but I think 3" lip sounds great.

I 3rd that vote for 3" rears too. One of the reason I've been on the fence is I want a bigger lip in the rear especially since I am going with black. The bigger polished lip in the rear would look better IMHO

then a 3" lip it is and i agree

the guru at chammpion, a retired aussie racer, who i have know personally for many many years has never steered me wrong. he is pushing for the 3" also so i will call him now and tell him to do the 3". It will look glorious.

I hope this group gets enough participation to pull this off - you will never see this price again and those who do get these wheels will never regret the decision.
