Individual Moonstone E60 M5 [pictures]

I took delivery of my car today and I'm thrilled with the colour! Only problem is - it doesn't photograph very easily!

Moonstone has a real brilliance that makes it sparkle under sunlight - you can really see the metallic fleck in the paint. What the photos also can't capture is the depth of the paint - it has the translucent quality I was hoping it would. While it's not an obnoxious pearl paint that flips colour from every angle (which I'm glad it isn't), you do get hints of blue, white and silver as you view the car from different vantage points. It also does a great job of 'picking up' colours from it's surroundings - looking at it now, parked in front of my house, it almost has a very light purple tinge.

I love it - I just wish I could show you guys what it really looks like

NOW as for the driving... all I can say is I'm still smiling, even though I parked the car 2-hours ago!

The only problem - let me explain it like this: -

There is a beautiful woman in front of you, she is dressed to kill and she's interested in spending the night with you , she smells great, she looks bautiful and you can tell she's 'passionate' BUT, you can't touch her... you have to wait for a week!

My car is already booked in for it's oil service on Friday! I will put 1,200 miles on this car - I WILL enjoy it's potential! Not doing so, but hearing the hint of the exhaust note, and the thrust of the power is driving me MAD!

Enough rambling, here are the non-representative pictures!

Okay, another problem... my pictures in the M5Board gallery haven't been approved yet... can't post them... sorry.

I'll attach them later or perhaps Tim or Gustav will do it?

hi nomis,

Congrats and I think it's an attractive color. I admire that piano black trim too. Enjoy it!

Congratulations Simon - I hope you can bring her to our next meet - the car looks splendid

None of the pearlescent Individual colours show up well in photos

Re: Individual Moonstone E60 M5 [pictures]

that is one unusual color, especially on the pictures where direct ray of light hit it, almost as if there was no clear coat, like a satin finish, I especially like the fact that it is very unique and I dig the piano black trims.

Congrats on your new car!!

Congrats! Beautiful car! I'd love to see that color in person...... post more pics when you get a chance from more angles, maybe with varying lighting ..... I'm sure it's gorgeous, I know seeing silverstone in pictures doesn't do it any justice either, it's a lot more dynamic in person with the lighting and angles of the car.......

Very nice - very elegant. Best of all NO SWIRLS!!

You piano black guys should figure out a way to get the i-drive controller and the shifter surround done in the same shiny black.
