        Treo 650 and 2006 M5 Bluetooth problem

I have the Treo 650 and have used it with my M5 (bluetooth) to make calls. It works really well. I have read the posts here and concur with other's findings; however, I can't seem to answer my calls. If I push the phone button, it ends the call before answering it. I do not have accept/reject show up on the display, just the caller’s number. I have tried just about everything I could think of, and have pushed every button, and that is why I am turning here. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

I'd make sure that your TREO is updated to the most recent Updater. I had to update mine on Sprint to v1.12 before it worked correctly with most Bluetooth headsets/handsfree configs.

Yes, I updated before I used it in the car. A funny thing happened a few minutes ago, I received a call that was NOT on my shorcuts list, and it automatically answered the call. Every call that I have received that IS on my shortcuts list I cannot answer. Weird...

Which wireless carrier do you use. Some, like Verizon, cripple their Bluetooth features purposefully.

I just picked up the same phone on a 14-day trial. I'll let you know what I discover.

Check to see if your phone is in the "auto answer mode" because if that is on then after a certain period of "5, 10, or 15 seconds" your call will be picked up, and by you hitting the phone button on the steering wheel you will end the call. You can find the "Auto Answer Mode" or something to that affect under "Settings" and then look for "Car Settings or Car Connection"

I do not have auto answer mode on. I am familiar with it, as I use it with my wireless headset, but thank you for your reply.

I am looking forward to your findings as well Tom.

This is what I want you to do....delete the phone from the car and then re-pair it...that is sometimes part of the problem.

Ok, I deleted the profile on the phone and the car. Then I reestablished the connection, tried it many times. I can not answer the phone IF the call is in my shortcuts list. The accept/reject screen pops up for .5 of a second, and then goes into caller ID mode. When the A/R screen pops up I try to click on accept with no response. If I didn't have to make so many calls, I would just delete my whole shortcut list.

Humm...interesting! Most likely the Short Cuts list is the problem. I have never worked with a Treo 650 Physically in Person so it is hard for me to help you in this situation. I would though, however, take the car back to the dealer and let them figure it out. Its alot easier to solve these problems in person. Sorry....
