Re: M5 / M6 Comparison

Hi Richard,

Sorry for not getting back to your PM the other day. It would be great if you could come across - I'd be delighted to take you for a spin... Just let me know when you get things sorted out.

As for the M6, get is as soon as possible. You won't regret it!!

Regards,

FM

Re: M5 / M6 Comparison

This is a nice overview of the 2 cars. What do you think the difference is between the buyers of the 2. Once the M6's are available will the interest/sales eclipse that of the M5? It looks like the difference in US $$ is $20K+?

Re: M5 / M6 Comparison

Common sense would suggest that the M5 buyers are probably a little younger and may have a family to think about. M6 owners may be older and want something sporty looking. They don't often carry passangers and the extra money is less of an issue.

Me? I'm just a brat and wanted both!!

Re: M5 / M6 Comparison

Thanks for the great post FM. I am confused between the two cars. I let my order of the M5 go due to this confusion. Regreted it once I saw the car arrive. Two days later saw a M6 then thought I made the right decision. I am back at the confused situation. Luckily in Greece there are a few "New cars" available on the used market and slight permiums so my purchase will be instant. Your last post about age confused me as I am 32 now. I think of the two cars in reverse perspective. M6 is for a young guy. The wifes car is for the kids.

Quick question? Does the M6 suffer from any heat soak in the roof due to the carbon fibre? Alot of CSL owners in Greece complained about it as parking here is normally outside and in summer the sun scolds.

Just my thoughts as there aren't many people our age who can afford to spend this sort of money on a car. I'm 31 and I know there are many people younger than me on here, but apparantly we're not the typical M5 or M6 customer...

You're asking the wrong person here. It hasn't been above 10 degrees since I bought the car! Howeever, the air con is very good....

Whatever one of these cars you buy will be the right choice. They are both amazing!
