GIVE ME THE KEYS!!!

Hi

You waited ages for the car. The last few weeks have been torture. You got the call - only days now.....

Finally the day came.

How long did the handover take???

Were you just like 'give me the keys already....'!!! (what I did with my E36 & E46 M3's)

I'm sitting here sweating it waiting for tomorrow to come yesterday!!

I took the manual home with me on Friday and read it from cover to cover TWICE (sad but true!). I'm pretty confident I can have all my settings for pretty much everything I'll be interested in for the first few weeks programmed in a couple of hours max! Then it's off to the tint shop where I'll have to leave the beast alone for a few more hours (believe me, it's gonna be painfull - almost want to postpone the tinting but I have to be strong!!).

I'm sure there must be a few anectdotes out there.. Share, share!!

Re: GIVE ME THE KEYS!!!

I am new so congrats on all those whom are receiving the one of the best cars ever. My question is, is there anyone out there who will be using their E60 M5 as an everyday driver once the keys are handed over to their god lucky hands (aka hard workers ). Just curious, thanks and congrats to all!

I will be driving it everyday when mine comes in January. That was the whole point of selling my Porsche 996 turbo so I can have a performance car that can carry couple sets of golfclubs, take 3 or 4 people out dinner, etc. but I am a bit disapponted about the small gas tank for a daily car.

My E39 M5 was a daily driver, and this new M5 will be the same. I have snow tires / wheels for the old M5, but I am not sure about getting new ones.
