What's this under my armrest?

I slide the armrest forward and find this "no parking" sign covering some kind of connection port or screw - any ideas what's going on?

Re: What's this under my armrest?

Whatever you do Ashok, DO NOT touch that port!!!!!!!

It is the auto self destruct feature installed in only a very few M5's to be used should you find yourself breaking every speed law imaginable in the UK and end up cornered by the Royal Marines, Scotland Yard, and the SAS..

Re: What's this under my armrest?

Poor Ashok, you set yourself up for that one...

Its the 'hide your hash from the border patrol' compartment!...
*or* future P600 button?...

honestly though, after having it in my 2004 530, i think its just a 'do not use this space for anything' warning sign. In case the armrest slides back on one of your kids little fingers.

Re: What's this under my armrest?

Same thing in mine, and I have phone cradle installed, not related to that. Suspect just an idiot emblem to tell you not to put things there.
