BMW/NA phone status vs OC status

Hi Gang, I've been calling the phone status line and checking the OC website every day (sometimes more than once a day :-)

Yesterday (Oct-21) the phone status went from "waiting production" to "in production" with an estimated completion date of Nov-03 while the OC website hadn't changed.

Today (Oct-22) the OC website was updated to "in production" and the order details updated with the VIN number (but no estimated completion date while the automated phone status didn't have the VIN).

So, 1 day delay isn't to bad, I'll keep checking both sources as my M5 moves through the pipeline and update this thread.

It seems that the OC website is more screwed up and inconsistent than I thought. My OC update still says that my car is "scheduled for production" as of today 10/23, even though yesterday 10/22 the automated phone status said that my car was complete and "being transferred to the port of exit"

For some reason your OC status is being kept more up-to-date than mine even though my car is a week or two ahead. Some have reported that their cars were already loaded on a ship and under way while the OC status still said "scheduled for production"

I'm ignoring the OC site at this point. It really let me down in the production phase...it just doesn't give the timely detail we all want. There is no reason that the automated phone system can't be perfectly in sync with the OC site. I believe my car is now at the VPC, but the OC site will say "En Route" for days I'm sure.

Yes, I agree. The OC site still states the my car is "En Route", but my dealer told me it came into Port Hueneme on Friday 10/21 and should be trucked to the dealership today or tomorrow.
