Filthy Monkey's M5 - getting towed - PICS + M6 at Munich Airport - PICS

Well, as Filthy Monkey reported earlier, he had some problems with his car and I was there to snap a few pics of the unfortunate event. The pics aren't great, but let it be known that the e60 can be towed by the rear wheels only!

Also, going through Munich airport, there was a display of the M6 and the Oracle America's cup boat - the boat is a test rig.

Enjoy!

Re: Filthy Monkey's M5 - getting towed - PICS + M6 at Munich Airport - PICS

My car got towed from a normal pickup, but the M5 has this system even when it's off that when it senses the front end is gonna hit the ground, it'll higher itself. But getting it down is very difficult!! The brakes couldn't hold the M5 hit the back end under and it doesn't higher itself from there. So u guys have to put a piece of wood on each side on the way down...

It may have broken down, but at least it happened in a car wash so that it was clean for the pictures...

Best get onto BMW UK in that case as every one of the used cars listed has the reg no at the bottom of the advert and most photos display the reg plate as well. Been like that for years so not convinced obscuring the number achieves anything.

Does this sensor operate in the same way if the car is put on a lift?
