RHD Vs LHD Layout diffs

Has anyone noticed layout differences between RHD and LHD Drive cars , the area around the gear stick is different the entire plastic surround is bigger and has a grove running top to bottom on left of the surround, plus the buttons are placed a different way - not angled apart from EDC.

Anyone know any other diffs.

(Yes I'm in Anorak mode, its been a slow night)

Does anyone else think the plastic surround is a bit nasty - could BMW not have used something better -

I agree. Whatever BMW knew about nice 5 series interiors has obviously been forgotten.

I have to agree with you there. That's one of the reasons I went with aluminum - the surround blends better.

Yeah, the surround is hideous. Why can't they just match it with the rest of the trim?

I want the surround in Piano Black, damnit!

Looks like a cockpit at night - especially with the HUD!

Best regards,

Very nasty indeed. As if it was done by some 3rd rate shop.
