I've had a weird metal pop from the front right suspension for some time now, would happen mostly when the car is warm and the suspension is loaded in that corner (ie making left turns or heading up driveways. After changing just about everything (tie rods, sway bar links, sway bar bushings, tension struts, control arms, strut tower brace bolts, front strut etc) I finally figure out it: LOOSE MOTOR MOUNT BOLTS
Super weird, but i did have rod bearings changed about a year ago and did the mounts at the same time. I'm guessing they weren't torqued down enough and over the time the bolts backed out a bit: the pop I was hearing during cornering was the engine pushing on the motor mount and sliding it to the outside until the mount hits the bolt that's holding it.
