Are people really hitting 500whp on Bolt On's, Headers and Tune now? If so, it truly makes an investment into a Stroker... laughable at best. I don't think 30-50whp more would warrant the price of a Stroker, imo.
That goal has already been achieved by Koenigsegg. Freevalve technology for the S85 would make it absolutely immense. I've been watching how they are introducing it to other models slowly and some manufacturers are implementing it.
Imagine no Vanos. No cams. full control over valve opening, lift and duration.
Fellas...guys have been making 490-500 RWHP with full bolt ons since the first couple of years of the e60 introduction. Nobody is doing much anything new, just a different way of doing it.
More to it than peak dyno numbers. My lowly 520 hp 6.0 wiped every FBO E60 off the road along with a VT2-650 M6 a VT2-650 M5 and set the Texas Mile record for a NA M5. Why didn't the 500+ hp cars do that in 07 or 2010? I bought my car in 2014!
Tommy's properly tuned and re-engineered SC car was the only faster M5- including the F10s...
Makes sense, as a 6.0 probably makes that along a much wider range throughout the power band, as opposed to only at the very top on a FBO S85.
