It is absolutely ruined. That front bumper is hideous. The excess weight in the system will obviously make the now firm ride even more unbearable on bumps and for cornering and it will lose the whole 'nimble' feeling that we get out of them. I'm not even a fan of the drop down dvd system in the rear.

Give me the engine and the exhaust and burn whats left.

I really think Matt Farah exaggerated about the gearbox being old school. It's not an ideal gearbox I agree. Slow driving is pretty awful in it really. Want a car that's good for that, then buy a VW diesel golf. Want a car with a capable gearbox at high rpm and at high speeds? It works fine.

///M5 E60 Review in 2 sentences:
£1000 a month service costs, before you factor in the 9 mpg average. Then it's just the joyful enthusiasm it has for trying to kill you in any situation, or itself every other day.

i watch nearly all the Smoking Tire's One-Takes so i caught this right when it dropped....immediately hated everything he's done to the car.

the bumper doesnt look good at all, not a fan of the bags....in the video its bouncing all around like crazy and the mixture of different exhaust mods provides a final result that just sounds like sh!t in my opinion.

if someone gave me this car....it'd be back to nearly stock within a week - just to start over from a clean slate and take it in a proper direction. at least he did the rob bearings for preventative maintenance lol

Don't like it one bit, feel sorry for the car, it almost sounds like a ricer car.

Watched this and felt like the review was particularly scathing on the SMG. It's not as "seamless" of a feel as the DCT's are, that's for sure. On the other hand, the SMG on full speed shifts is very quick, and quite a visceral experience...

The choice to remain single clutch will always be controversial, especially when driving on city streets. I actually quite like mine though - it's good at full song and that's what I have my car for.

The other thing is - what cars in 2005-2006 offered 7 speed transmissions? I can't think of many! This was surely a benefit to the nature of the high-revving, low torque V10 as much as anything.
