They make offcourse white because someone wants it..... But how many white Bimmers have you seen standing in the showroom. Every white car sold in Norway are special order. Probably is in rest of Europe to.

I do not recall seeing any white car in any BMW showroom ever.

Re: Alpine White M5

I like the red interior, which I thought I would not be able to get if I don't go individual 'cause it's not on the list....what I also want is the piano black trim, I wonder if I have to go individual to get that also...does anyone know if I can order it without paying extra $ here in Vancouver?

White on Red would look Hot on an E60 M5.

Re: Alpine White M5

White is the 2nd most popular colour in the US for car production (after silver). In 2003 18% of all vehicles produced in USA were white.

http://money.cnn.com/2003/12/11/pf/autos/colors/

White is also very popular in hot climates (ie Middle East where 50%-ish are white). White is also a luxury colour in Japan and very popular and sought after.

In the UK, there are virtually no white cars and a white car will easily be worth 10-20% less than any other colour and is virtually unsellable on many cars.
