Question SMG Pressure question

Does anyone know what the SMG pressure on our car is supposed to idle at? How many bars? also how can I tell if my SMG Pressure is dropping too fast?

For example I did a test on my Hydraulic pump in ISTA and pressurized my pump to 108.5bar i then timed it and it took about 15 minutes to get down to about 55. Bar are there any references i can compare this to? also at which point is the SMG automatically triggered to start building pressure again?

I just did a fluid CHS11S flush so I want to make sure everything is working correctly.

Thanks for all your help in advanced!

On a warm engine, running, The pressure will build to 77-81bar and will kick back in around 57bar..

DIS and ISTA has a accumulator test that does just this, checks if it leaking pressure too fast in a certain time that it likes.. Run the test, and report back.

5soko, Thank you so much for the reply! I actually ran the accumulator test twice and it finished perfectly and did not come back with any errors so I believe i should be good on that

Appreciate the help!

Yup sounds good then! If it is able to hold pressure (well leak at a acceptable rate), and is able to hit the pressure targets, then you are fine on the hydraulic side of things.

cold engine, engine off, the targets are different, i think 65bar target, and turns on at 45bar.
