Question Best damn windshield wipers

I've normally ran OEM wipers (Bosch or something?) but after 1 year they start squeaking a lot under heavy rain. My friends Hyundai has had it's wipers for 3 years and those are absolutely quiet.

Does anyone have any experience with any wipers other than OEM that are absolutely silent for a long time?

I got these from Rockauto along with my brake pad purchase. Paid about $5 for both, at that price, who cares how long they last! Keep the windshield polished and Rain-X'd which will help quell any squeaking.

I always find BMW supplied OEM blades are the best over here in sunny Northern Ireland. And I can get plenty others for less than half the cost but I never do.

Also, I never Rain-X the windshield. I thought the chemicals in it actually damaged the blades? Only ever used it on all other windows.

Doing my own research while reading the thread responses, it looks like most people like Bosch's ICON. I am thinking about picking up a set and also polishing and sealing my windshield.

Bosch Icons seem to last longer then most.
