It would have to be an e series DCT as the transmission electronics/ECU operate on a totally different bordnet in the F series cars. You may be able to use an F series DCT for the hardware, but you'd have to strap it to an E series ECU

I personally haven't, however I have driven my friend's E92 M3 and the transmission on those are solid and amazing. One of the best DCTs I've driven so far.

My DCT transmission and flywheel should be arriving to the shop in 1-3 days but here are some pictures I had the seller send out to me before shipping it out.

I am very tempted by this. What price have you been quoted for the work?

I got an email notification that there is a thread about a DCT swap, I have to be honest, I ignored it, because the previous one where the russian guy keeps saying that he will get a TT with DCT never updated, and I am actually following this guy on instagram and he keeps saying that it will happen and it's been like that for at least a year now and nothing happens.

I'm not being an a**hole here, but this has been going on and on and we never saw it happening, so it's either Gintani are bragging about something that they never did, or they are being very secretive about it and I don't see any reason why they would be, I'm sure if they did it there would be at least a handful of people on this board that are willing to do it, only if they see it happen.

I know right .... I really want this to work out and happen but I am skeptical and I hope I am wrong and it is unfounded. When I drop engine and increase displacement with a low compression build so I can turn the boost up - this would be the ideal time to swap to a DCT as well - I got 12 to 18 months before this so plenty of time to see if it works out .........

My only thing is if this had been done successfully people would know and many of us would spend the bucks to get it done!

I cant seeing it being that hard to do, just the coding/programming side of things. Thats where the secret is.

I'm almost positive it's either not going to get finished or it'll be a disaster because it wont shift / work properly.
