You may have a comfort access module issue. Check to see if any of the doors don't lock / unlock with comfort access, as well as the others. The next stage (if it is the comfort access in one door or another) might be the 'high battery drain').
My CA has always worked pretty well without any battery drain issues. It has always unlocked without a problem at any door. When locking the driver door, I'd say it locks about 80% of the time, sometimes immediately, sometimes after 4-5 seconds. Other times, I either have to open the door again and re-try, or just use the fob.
I thought this was normal? The car auto locks after X amount of minutes. Seems smart
I think that's an option I disabled in the beginning. Since I have my mirrors coded to fold when locked (with the fob only, not with CA), the last thing I need is another reason for the car to lock itself.
When I get my software up and running again, I'll clear everything, and check for codes if it does it again.
Sounds like a CAS module issue at the driver's door. The fact that it takes 4 - 5 seconds to lock sometimes is a hint, I believe. You wouldn't see any battery drain issues if you have the IBS disconnected.
CAS...sounds like a common issue with these cars. I don't believe the IBS is disconnected, or it's not something I've done. That's a small connector at the negative terminal right? This morning at work the CA locked almost immediately and didn't lock itself during the wash yesterday, so go figure.
I had this happen to me after playing around with iCarly. I tweeked some settings including folding mirrors with fob and comfort access. Well one time after the gym I opened the back door with comfort access, threw my gym bag in the back seat (key in gym bag) then shut the door...buy the time I could make it to the front door all my doors locked...with my key inside. Maybe I shut the rear door and touched the handle...but in OEM form I don't think the car would allow this. I think it had to be something in the iCarly coding I did but I can't figure out which option I did made this happen. What was funny was even with the doors locked and the key stuck inside I was still able to open the trunk from the outside via the button by the license plate. However, I don't have folding seats so I was still locked out.
So now I just make sure I always have a door open lol
