I am looking for the best possible 3rd party warranty possible for my E60 M5. I am looking for something that covers the important part of the car which would include engine and transmission (if clutch and flywheel is covered that would be amazing). I tried the local BMW dealerships they said don't offer warranty for my car since it's a 2009 car. Do you guys know anyone who can help me get the best warranty possible that is available for my vehicle?

Here's what I have learned after extensively researching this..

I talked to service advisors at a couple different BMW dealers to see which ones they had experiences with. Pretty much any of the 3rd party over the internet companies are garbage (carchex, delta, endurance etc). Lots of games, anything to deny your claim, won't cover lots of parts, your car will sit at the dealer for a week waiting for the claim to be paid etc and if you read the fine print they can basically get out of almost any real repair.

The ones I've heard are good and what the dealer said they've had the least trouble with are the USAA (assurant), fidelity and CarMax (Maxcare)..of course none of those are exactly cheap for the M5 but you get what you pay for here is what it seems.

I gotta be honest that I am surprised that companies will still warrant these cars now they are 8 to 12 years old. The older (more owners) cars have the less likely there is to be a good maintenance trail/record. Insurance actuaries are some of the smartest folks around.

If you are banking on these warranties - you better have water-tight maintenance records and have $$$ in the bank to fight them if push comes to shove. I am not talking about "small" issues, I would think they would cover these without much issue - until they cross the threshold of them "losing money".

My 2 cents - but I wish y'all good luck.
