Besides, has anyone confirmed the E55 can do 4.3 zero to 60s?

And, before it starts... I mean STOCK cars, on STOCK tires, on the STREET, not the drag strip.

Please, please let's not go there again, or we'll have the horde from MBWorld barraging us with claimed 1/4 times, "kill" stories of everything from Porsche Turbos to F-18s, and other nonsense. I do seem to recall that Car & Driver's road test yielded 4.3 seconds from 0-60 for the e55. This is the lowest time I remember seeing. Other US magazines got around 4.7. We'll see what they get for the M5.

Thats where I saw the E55 stats - Car & Driver.
Doesn't BMW say that the E60 does 4.5?!

I really do hope it's faster...

Dont forgett that what the producer claim a car will do is not always what it will be capable of in real life. BMW normaly under rates their car....

I belive BMW claim 15 sec for the long sprint 0-125 mph, and all test indicate mid to high 13 sec. ( exept 1 very early test that was slower)

That is exactly my point.. a single car... most other mags got around 4.7s... the M5 is rated at 4.5, and I believe there has been one test sub 4.4 if memory serves...

Yeah, 4.2-4.4 is probably what the M5 will actually do it in. I was thinking about 4, but I am not sure, I am sure dinan or hartge can get it tuned with little modifications to get it to do 60 in 4 seconds. I mean the dinan 540i does it in about 4.1, www.jimmy540i.com
