I was stating it as a joke, but whoever runs that department clearly learned from Shkreli.

This is ridiculous.

I've disassembled one before, nowhere near that much engineering in it. Easy to produce cartridge and spool in a CNC lathe. Taking one apart now to refresh my memory. I've toyed with this idea for a while, this is just the icing on the cake. I had this discussion with @5soko in NYC two weeks ago. It may be time to take it more seriously.

I'd buy some. I'm almost positive my numbers are low and am waiting on my cable and software to verify.

I just called BMW USA, she was about as helpful as a lump of coal and had zero information.
