Exclamation What should I ask BMW M at Geneva 2005?

OK guys, here is the chance to clear the confusion over the seats and more. Also, please no questions about future BMW M models since BMW won't answer them, only smile in certain ways .

Please keep this thread related to BMW M5 questions and go here for BMW M6 questions.

Here is some recent questions some m5board.com members asked when BMW M chief Mr Bruhnke was in Stockholm for the BMW M5 launch. I'll be in Geneva on the 3rd and 4th of March. Here is a report from the last Geneva Salon in 2004, with the peremiere of the "Concept M5".

When will the manual transmission be introduced in the US?

Re: What should I ask BMW M at Geneva 2005?

Is there any issue with Indi.Red paint? We've heard rumors that there are problems with that colour.

But my order is on the production system and nothing is highlighted

Re: What should I ask BMW M at Geneva 2005?

Why did BMW M do:

1- a P400 mode

2- no Active Steering

3- no Dynamic Drive/ Active Roll Stabilization

4- EDC

Will the US version of launch control be the same as elsewhere?

Which one of the following seats is 4MA Multifunction Seats and what are the extra features this seat has over the standard sports seat?

Re: What should I ask BMW M at Geneva 2005?

When will US specifications (colors, options, price, etc.) be announced? And are we still on track with the first US deliveries in the Fall of 2005?

Re: What should I ask BMW M at Geneva 2005?

Here's mine - will there be a factory/dealer option to remove the speed limiter...

Cheers,
David.

Re: What should I ask BMW M at Geneva 2005?

US demand will decide this, and for now there isn't any proof of that demand specifically for an M5 Touring.
