nope i'm going to run a 3 jets aquamist setup.
of curse as close to the intake as possible, im going to run the jets in the intake.
but why not :) i want to try it, more power + better cooling = more fun. and no one in my country have done it.

You are going to have to do your own R&D as I don't think anyone has done it properly on the S85. If it is not done properly, you WILL lose horsepower. This is why I have yet to do it. I simply don't have time.

Some say the best place for the nozzles is before the blower intake, some say after. You will have to play around with nozzle size and water/meth mix ratios to get a benefit. If you get it figured out, let the board know and post before and after dynos please.
i figured that much i know there are/was a cuple of guys in here that have some knowlage in the subject but i gusse they are going to keep that to them self? :)
i would never mount the jets before the water ic, feels wrong in my mind to have it heat up the methanol.
im planning to have everything ready to May in May 20th is the biggest bmw meet in nordic, so im going to set everything up and do one pull without and one with meth, since they are have a rotortest at the meet.
btw im setting up or 100%methanol not 50/50 ;) i'm also going to be running 9psi of boost, so will see it might be a great engine break aswell :)

A lot of guys on the Audi forums run W/M setups. I believe the consensus was to position the jets not too close to the throttle bodies and not too far away. Not a lot of help, I know.

The goal is optimal atomization and cooler denser air. You're attempting to remove heat from charge air as its being sucked through the turbo or supercharger and into the throttle bodies for combustion. The cooler the better. There are big benefits to positioning the jets pre- supercharger.

An excellent read.

Thanks man! always intresting, with articles like that.

Mine is in the process of be installed along with a few other things but I will probably be keep my on going projects to myself going forward.
you are one of the guys that been kinda inspiring for my ideas, you have an awesome car, i would very much appreciate if you would like to shed some light for me on the subject, pm if you like. There are only a handful people that have been going flat out like you, and have so many years with their cars.
Its not possible to find that kinda knowlege.

but i respect if you don't want to.

Installing the water/meth before the compressor can change the efficiency and move the compressor map around.
Back in my RX7 days I done some research on this. Also the water hitting the compressor blades can erode the wheel.

Installing it before the Intercooler can cause drop out to. Not too much of an issue on the water/air cooler on the ESS kit but a front mount air/air intercooler can lead to the mix dropping out in the intercooler.

Be careful with 100% meth, it will kill your rubber seals around your intake and if your spraying pure meth with a leaky intake it might leak and light up one day.
Interesting thoughts about have the jets before the intercooler.

yes that much i know ;)
