Installed: DEPO LCI Tail Lights on 2006 M5 (Day and Sun-Down)

I wanted to share a bunch of pictures of this install. I'm really happy with the end result. It was cheap and plug-and-play... And looks better than the stock pre-LCI tails. Pricing was great, got them from USR (Unique Style Racings). They arrived quickly and safely to NY.

The build quality is REAL nice. Better than expected. Visually they are a spot-on replica of the OEM LCI lights. The lighting is not as bright as OEM but I'm okay with that. I will likely do the Bruce-mod later on. I would definitely recommend these. Trying to keep this M5 clean.

Looks great, and the car looks spot on
But we need more pics with the lights on, in the dark!

As a guy who paid a fortune for oem lci lights and bruce cables.... those look excellent and if i had to do it again, would just go with depo lights. Looks great!

I bought some smoke ones just like that a year ago for my black M5, everyone hated them for some reason. Went back to OEM and now just save my money for the ever coming repairs.

YES, they are plug and play. They do look similar to LCI but not quite there. I can say the fit and finish was good and they never leaked.

I have to agree that its a great option. But there really is nothing like having the OEM thing.

Absolutely. I have my OEM pre-LCI headlights still on. These do not require anything but the actual tail lamp assemblies. There is no coding, nothing else. Its truly a plug-and-play replacement.

The only LCI rep smoked taillights I remember seeing looked funky to me. So did the smoked pre-LCI version. I don't know if you had DEPO ones. I can't speak for any other brand. But if they are these DEPO ones I am going to have to disagree with you that they don't "look the same". I inspected both the OEM LCI and Depo LCI Replica and they look near exact. What's the difference? The black plastics that are hidden. The edges towards the top rolling into the black plastic aren't as clean but are also not really seen. And the OEM LCI tails have the plastic release point on the lens. Besides that every single little ridge was identical. The depth location was on point. I passed by the shop to double check the air pressure and lo and behold there was an E60 535i right there.

This is what I mean:

Here is a video. The only difference you will see between them is the lighting because the 535i was inside the bay, while the M5 was in reverse outside of the shop so the camera gets a bit darker.

I should have mentioned it before. I bought the "E60 P-LCI EuroFresh Stickers" from Phi. They were $35. At first I thought they were a bit cheesy but they actually came out looking pretty good. I would recommend getting some chrome stealth bulbs for your signals because if not you will get that "egg yolk" look. This is his email: pd_hackr@yahoo.com

Looks great. Gotta love those LED rods. I just wish the actual brake light bulbs were LED as well on the OEMs.
