Touring Suspension Parts

Hi all,

I've been scouring the net for a good source of E61 M5 Touring suspension parts in the U.S.....specifically the edc struts and rear air springs.

Although the Touring never came to the US I thought that online sellers such as getbmwparts.com would be able to order them. I placed the part number for the front edc strut in the part finder and it returned "not found".

This isn't the case with my E34 M5 Touring...although this car didn't come to the US officially I can still buy specific Touring parts for it via the same website and others.

Anyone know of a good source for purchasing these parts...or a viable alternative to the original struts for the Touring that would maintain the edc ?

Entering the part number for one of the front struts on the bmwfans.info website (31312283745 ) shows that the part is unique to the M5 Touring....so the Bilstein alternative that matches the sedan is incompatible.

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers

I think BMW is trying to close the door on buying parts in a given country for a car that was never sold in that country. For example, I tried to buy the mirror controller for a RHD E61 in Germany and the dealer said it wasn't a valid part number. No problems buying it in the UK.

Try calling your favourite parts site and see if they can input it manually?

Older cars like the E34 M5 and Z1 seem to be exempt.
