SMG/Alternator codes

Hi All, probably one of my first posts here but after owning my E60 M5 for about a year and a half, 2 track days, 30000 kms this will be the first time I've had it towed. Pretty good I guess!

The main issue I'm having is Error: 5402 Evaluation Hydraulic Pump Relay

I've switched both relays (black and salmon) in ECU box, and also the 40A fuse next to black relay. Still no pressure in the SMG accumulator nor the priming noise when open opened/key turned on.

SMG Hydraulic pump motor gone bust is my best assumption?

2nd Issue

Error 279B: Generator Comm Error

New Alternator? New regulator? New battery?

I recently replaced one of the throttle body acuators, could I have unplugged/pumped something related to the DME communicating to the altenator/regulator that may cause this issue.

Can't start the car currently unfortunetly as no hydraulic pressure to shift car into neutral, so cannot test voltage coming from altenator.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me

I had an issue this past weekend, where the car wouldn't go into neutral. The display showed it was in neutral, but the car would not start or roll. I unhooked the battery and then reconnected. After this, the car worked fine.

You may have already tried this, but just thought I would make the suggestion.

Were you having the SMG pump problem before replacing the relay?
