Are heated front seats standard everywhere?

I think heated front seats (code 496) are standard in all markets but can anyone confirm this?

Re: Are heated front seats standard everywhere?

It's standard on E39 M5's in the states but not sure about the rest of the world.

Re: Are heated front seats standard everywhere?

Ashok, I think the fronts are standard but the rears (E60) are probably an option. The cars standard options might be country specific, for example on my E39, M-Audio was standard but homelink was not.

Regards,

Terk.

Re: Are heated front seats standard everywhere?

I'm talking about front seats only - rears are optional pretty much everywhere.

I am almost shure that front seat heating is standard equipment everywere.

...that it's in Switzerland:
- Heated front seats (code 494) standard
- Heated back seats (code 496) option

Re: Are heated front seats standard everywhere?

Check with germany, if it's standard there it will be everywhere, most likelly. Germany the cheapest prices arround, but also the worse standard equipments arround. I'd rather buy a car in spain, UK or italy. Or the USA, really, even at 100k dollars it will be a bargain (here in Portugal it's arround 125k euros, so 130k+ dollars) and not to mention petrol at 1.2 euros PER LITRE of 100 octane gas
I need to find my own country and become
M5 land...

Re: Are heated front seats standard everywhere?

Just found out that it's a 360.00 Euro option in Germany (code 496)

Be careful when you spec your cars as you may assume something is standard, only to be disappointed when it doesn't feature on your vehicle. Of course this all varies from country to country so check what's standard/optional very carefully!

heated seats are not very necessary everywhere so they are standard only in countries with "winter".. IŽd say for example in OZ it isnt necessary, although people living in Melbourne might disagree
