Re: Is this the Proper shade of Interlagos blue ?
You are correct - Interlagos Blue is a bright (not dark) blue, as discussed here:
Think carefully before ordering Interlagos Blue
You have been warned!

Re: Is this the Proper shade of Interlagos blue ?
So it sounds as if the choice of colours for the new E60 M5 is very small indeed for someone whom is not too keen on Sepang Bronze, white or Interlagos (a bit too flashy in my view). Basically only Silverstone or Black saphire.
Does anyone know if, in the previous releases of M5's, it has happened that BMW has decided to add more colours after some time? I know it is possible to turn to the individual program but the cost is quite steep.
Finally does anyone have more picture of the E60 M5 in saphire black with black leather -- would be keen to see pictures of my future car to be delivered late 2004/early 2005.
Thank you in advance,

why don't you order one of the individual pakets? they include the choice of 6 other colors, for example blue onyx (a dark blue) and the well known carbon black. where is the problem?

The question we're all struggling with is why do we have to wait longer and pay more money for colors that are STANDARD on other models??? Even the individual colors are not ones that I would voluntarily choose! Titanium Gray(not TiAg) is what I'd like and I can't get it at any price ....

Jesse,
I think if they are offering tigrey on the regular 5, you can get it for the M. The paint is obviously in the factory. It might take longer and cost more though.
I will tell you that I had a ti grey 7er and over time I became less happy with the color- I found it dull. Just something to consider, but if this is the color you really want you can make it happen- you just have to really push your dealer.

Jerry,
When I went to the M5 visualizer, there were more colors available but still a relatively limited selection. Are you suggesting that one can request any of their standard colors?
I've only seen cars, most recently a Z3, in a very dark silvery grey metallic that seemd to have a large amount of flake and thus was very reflective while being dark. I've yet to see an E60 in TiGray. Is the color I described what your 7 was?
jess.
