I was thinking that with the coil overs, you could at least bring it up a bit if you feel it's too low. Once you change out the springs, that's it. Even with the stock sway bar, car handled really well after it was lowered. I was surprised at the difference.

Thanks dude!! this is tremendously helpful info. How was the ride quality with the springs?

I thought the ride was great. I like a stiff ride and the H & R's did that but the ride was not harsh. If I was gonna do springs, I would definitely do the H & R's. My SA at BMW recommended them. They installed them and realigned the car also. Car drove like it was on rails.

Hey MarkieM5, I finally got my suspension upgrades for the beast: Bilstein shocks with EDC, H&R springs and wheel spacers. The car rides even better than stock albeit lower. It holds the road really well and corners like a dream. I also holds the lane so much better that I had to ask the shop that did the work if they re-aligned the car, which they didn't. The things I have to get a bit used to are: 1) because the car is lower the beam from the headlights seem a little too low, 2) the suspension travel is a little shorter over bumps, 3) I have to be careful of rubbing the front spoiler when entering high driveways or pulling close to curbs. Oh, another good thing I forgot to mention is I still have EDC functionality.

Sorry, just saw your post. Your car looks awesome at that ride height. I kind of figured the handling would improve. I would really like to do this but I don't want to spend the money!! I would get it realigned anyway. Like I said before, this to me is a great upgrade that doesn't take away any of the stock features, and it's Bilstein. Good luck with it. Really nice mod.

Agreed...that looks great and EDC/Bilstein makes it even better IMO.

Thanks for posting!
